While you are editing your document in Enhanced Grid View you may also sometimes want to copy elements to the clipboard as they appear on the screen. This can not only be used within XML Spy, but is also very useful to quickly transfer XML data to spreadsheet-like applications (e.g. Microsoft Excel) when used from the Database/Table View in XML Spy:
If you copy this table and switch over to Excel, this is what you'll get when you paste the information into a new spreadsheet:
Please note that this command very much depends on the way the information is currently laid out on the screen (i.e. if you are using the Database/Table View for certain repeated elements, or not). If you take the same XML data that served as an example in the description of the Copy as XML-Text command, this is what you'd be getting if you were to use this command on the data in Table View:
